Mytube Video Player v2.0
As we know, google has developed youtube client for blackberry storm, but only for storm, So i developed this, You can search videos and play it on your blackberry. The program requires blackberry 4.5 os or above, and it doesn't work on touch screen,  ...
The new version is faster, you can search videos using any language, and you can browse videos by category such as news, games, film or others, and you can sort videos by view count or relevance. 
Hello everyone! I have made a lot of changes to " MyTube Video Player" last 2 weeks, Let me show you what the change is. (2009/12/12).
1, First, run the app, you will see the first screen as below, input the keywords and press " ENTER" key, the app start to search videos, just like the picture.
2, And then, you will see the new layout of video list, it is more simpler than the older version, roll your trackball to select the video:
and I made some HOT KEYS for this screen:
N Go to next page.
P Go to previous page.
D Show video description.
S Search videos, see the picture below:
3, Watch the video, press the trackball or " ENTER" key, the video will be play, I made new face for the video player, just like the picture, it is very simple, you can press the trackball or ENTER key to pause or start the video, and you can also control the volume by pressing the VOLUME CONTROL KEY on the right side of your mobile, and the volume level will be stored. while the videos playing, the screen will enter the fullscreen mode automatically, when it stoped, the screen will exit the fullscreen, etc.

I installed this app on my bb pearl 8120. It is getting the videos but when I click play it is showing bin error. I have 4.5 and browse thru wifi as I don't have data plan.Xan you pls help me solve this issue . Also my browser is enables java scripts and hotspot browser |

| It does but videos are usually long horizontally so in order to fit 8220's screen (which is vertically long), the video appears small |

On BB 8700 I got the following error message: "javax.microedition.media.MediaException: Unsupported type." after I click on Play.
Do I need to load anything else so it works?

| Great looking application. I loaded it, but cant get vids to play. Shows error or says finished and nevr plays. If you know what is wrong I'd love to know. This is way better than the other youtube client I've been using and I'd like to use yours and remove the other if I can get it to work properly. Thanks |

A couple of issues regarding the new volume control.
a. The volume level doesn't stay set. If I go from one video that I turned down, the next one I play is full volume again.
b. There's no Mute function (again, one that would remain in that state).
c. Could you tap into the device's volume controls instead? Those buttons are right there, ready to use on many models.
Nice application otherwise. Very fast. Works extremely well. Just not presently condusive to using in a quiet office or subway train due to the volume issues. |

Hi,
great job with the app. I have a problem though. I choose a video and although sound is ok, the video is not displayed on screen. Actually I have to use the scroll and keep scrolling upwards to see the video.
As long as I am scrolling I can see the video. As soon as I stop the screen froze.
Any suggestions?

Any chances of getting the higher quality h.264 videos in this app? Many of the newer blackberries are able to play the fmt=18 versions just fine. It's a simple http request to get the higher quality video:
http://www.youtube.com/get_video?fmt=18&video_id=<video_id>&t=<video_hash>
where <video_id> and <video_hash> can be found in the javascript of the page source for each video
I think this is the same format that the iphones use but I could be wrong. |

| Hey Herry, I downloaded and installed your software on my BB 8520 . its version is 4.6.1.286 and platform is 4.2.0.122 . I am using my WIFI to play the videos. I am able to search the videos but when I click on any of the video it just shows a blank screen and the video doesn not play. No error.. Please help.. |

Am using 9700 baby bold blackberry. I've downloaded it successfully and I was able to do the search for videos but when I click on any of the them it gives me an error message saying "IPN is not specified" and when I say ok to that message it gives me a blank white screen with nothing happening !! Please help me out in this.. Thanks |

I have solved the APN problem by contacting my services provider and getting the username and pass for the APN.. Now I can click on the videos and open them but with a black screen and no sound at all.. It looks like the video was loading but it doesn't work at all !! I even tried the older version of ur application and it says playing... Then finished... But videos are not playing ;S !!! Can u please help !!

I have problems running Mytube version 1.22 and 2.0, I can search for videos but when I put Play it hangs (and after some minutes I receive an error "Uncaught exception: Applications mytube (155) is not responding; process terminated"). | My bb8320 4.5os searches for the vids, but it stops there, the vid doesn't play I just see the start screen and then after a while '22 ok' comes up in a grey box. I downloaded v1.2 and the same thing happens the except it just says finished. It woul be great to watch youtube vids on my bb, help, please. |

i got your emails thank you reply. i have upgarde rom version into 4.5 and still can't get video play. when i click the video ,i see my wifi on the corner is flashing back and fort after that it do nothing. It is my router problem. I can go to the internet with blackberry with no problem just seen can't get video play . By the way, if i use the bb browser,the video clip is automatic go into the blackberry player. It is not using Mytube video player. I love the Mytube video player only it could work. Please help A great appreciation.

thnx for your help but i tried it nd didnt work..in fact i enterd m.youtube.com but i cant play any video..i only can see the searched videos..and i dont have anth under "Options", and "General Properties",called the "Switching to WAP for streaming media" option...

Yes, but you can try to go to http://m.youtube.com/ with bb browser, if you can see the videos, it means something wrong with network settings. |
